The story
Our story behind Cerca Design House
Formerly known as Casa dos Machados, Casa da Cerca initially belonged to the Chãos manor house and remained in the family for eight generations.
It was inherited by José Trigueiros de Aragão Osório Martel, who was Mayor of Fundão and Provider of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia. It fell into disuse and abandonment over the years until the visit of Marta Augusto Rafael and her family.
Believing in the potential of the property and the region, the family invested in a project that culminated in the transformation of Casa da Cerca into charming tourism.

I stayed 2 nights, enough to realize what a magical place it is and where you can rest and enjoy the tranquility. I stayed in the villa and I loved the fact that breakfast was brought to the door at the time we wanted, the fact that there was a swimming pool just for the villas was also a plus, there wasn't so much clutter! Very calm atmosphere, very friendly and attentive. Varied breakfast with local products. The cherry jam was divine. Natural orange juice, like you don't even get in 5☆ hotels. Everything was great, the breakfast was very varied, the reception lady knew Spanish, very friendly, the toasts for dinner were very rich, the pity was that we couldn't use the jacuzzi and the swimming pool because we were passing through, we were left wanting more!

Fantastic hotel! Super quiet, cozy, beautiful, clean, comfortable beds, very good breakfast and friendly, attentive staff. We had a pizza in the hotel which was huge and wonderful! The value for money is more than excellent! I recommend it to anyone going to see the snow!

The staff at this hotel are fantastic! The hotel is spectacular, an old building but very modern and with excellent decoration. the breakfast is very good! and, once again, a word for the staff who are some of the best I've ever met!
We stayed with 4 people (plus a baby) in a one-bedroom apartment with an equipped kitchen. Everything looks great. For dinner, you can order from two restaurants in the area of excellent quality. It has a jacuzzi which was a delight for the children. Breakfast is very original. You fill in a sheet with what you want and the next morning they bring you a basket with everything. The service was extremely friendly at all levels. We highly recommend it.
